As much as my kiddos are excited that the leprechaun was visiting us over spring break, I just cannot mess up the classroom I worked so hard to clean last Friday. So the leprechauns will be leaving my sweet friends a treat this year. This is in my Teachers Pay Teachers store as a FREEBIE! Link is in my bio.
These stickers from @michaelsstores are really making me wistful for summer. Just 2.5 more months until it’s time to sip prickly pear pink lemonade and laze away the days on patios.
Obsessed with this Currently Reading board from @excuseme_mrselias 😍 My kiddos would love this for centers time. Head over to her account to follow for more incredible ideas!
Dallas friends! The Target on Skillman still has 4 more of these mini eraser boxes if you’re still looking. 😍🙌🏻
Spending my spring break as a working staycation this year. I’ve been so productive so far! This message from @positivelypresent is my mantra this week.
Love this resource created by @pencilsandplaygrounds! Ashley has amazing ideas for upper elementary. I’m snagging this one to better utilize Scholastic Magazines from her to use with my 2nd graders after break! Go follow her insta for more teaching tips! 😍❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Happy #iwd2018! I’m so proud to be a part of a community of strong, powerful women who lift each other up. To my fellow women, this is my vow to you: I will always lift your voice, support your goals, and stand right beside you during our battles. #womenempowerment #womensupportingwomen #girlsruntheworld
My March morning meeting question cards have been a hit! My students are already asking if I’ll have them for April and May 😍. I have these in a growing bundle in my store for only $9 for the whole year until the price increase in April. Check them out!
Today, we finally got around to reading Somebody Love You, Mr. Hatch. I asked my friends how they thought Mr. Hatch felt during a certain part of the book expecting lonely or sad. My student said this instead “I think he feels lost. Like sometimes you feel so bad that you think you should be somewhere to feel good but your heart can’t find its way.” A second student chimes in “like when you feel like you’re crumpled and you really just want to see your mom or dad.” Y’all. Blown away by their insight. I’m so tough on them but moments like that make me remember how big and overwhelming their feelings can feel to them and how immense our job is to help them learn to manage and understand those feelings.
Target is killing me with this throwback toys section. It’s like my childhood bedroom on a shelf. NEED the Spirograph set 😍
Legos are my favorite STEM material. I seriously use them for almost every project. Target has them back in the dollar spot right now too.
Finally got around to making my Bitmoji stickers following @littlemissfiesta_ ‘s tutorial. Such a genius idea! My kiddos are going to flip!
I love this image from @middleschoolvariables! If you are not following her, check her out! She is so uplifting and she teaches middle school math and because I’m a person who taps out at 3rd grade multiplication, I think that makes her a superhero! 😍
We got a little bit of a jump start on the March bulletin board from @thedesignerteacher today. It makes my neon, rainbow loving heart so happy. Seriously, if you don’t follow Sarah, run to her page. She has such amazing ideas!
Y’all thought I was kidding about these hula hoops. Now it’s a clock. But really, this helped my students so much with the minutes part of telling time.
On Thursday, one of my sweet girls came up to me and said “Ms. A! We came up with some new classroom words. It’s how our class feels!” And y’all, after this week, it filled my heart all the way up. So lucky and grateful that I get to spend my days with kids like mine.
