Today marks the first day of #artprize9, y'all! "Imagine That!," a mural created during the first artprize competition, finished in the top 10. The mural was created by some 300 artists, with the majority of the work by brothers Tracy and Corey Van Duinen.
Mural by JVB (aka Jeff VandenBerg), co-founder of @pyramidschemegr and @meanwhilebargr. You can spot JVB's designs in much of the poster art promoting the venue's touring bands and musical artists, which he also curates. Both iconic GR bars were originally envisioned as art galleries, and with rotating art exhibits, eclectic screen-printed t-shirts, and a very respectable pinball collection, JVB kept his artistic promise.
